This project designated that we create magazine covers, using our own photography, design elements and copy, while mimicking the style of a specific brand. I chose GQ, specifically their cover featuring Timothee Chalamet. I shot the photography in a park, choosing to go right before sunset for prime lighting. I chose this shot because of the ample depth of field, dramatic light on the face, and simplicity of color in the model's outfit. I then transferred this piece into photoshop, where I edited the photo and added the GQ logo. In their signature style, I changed the colors to mimic the greens in the image, and then overlaid the G onto the Q to create the color variation between them. The piece them went into Illustrator, where the text (which discusses the current events at the time) was added.
